Horses & Ponies
"Two feet move your body. Four feet move your soul."
Horses are amazing animals that fulfill our lives. They have a huge healing heart energy. Keeping them healthy and happy, performing at their best is a top focus.
My purpose for horses is ensuring they are on an optimal diet and lifestyle which helps to support optimal health. Good nutrition is preventative health care at its finest.
For horses that need some additional nutritional and health support for managing a health concern, we can also work with herbal therapies and more refined nutrition to address their health care needs.

FAQs
My horse has plenty of grass. isn't that enough? How can I find out what they need in addition to my grass?
Very rarely will I find a horse whose needs are met purely on a grass only diet. Grasses can vary significantly throughout Australia, and throughout the world. Even the same farm can have variances between paddocks. Although grasses can meet the caloric needs of your horse, it rarely meets all of their nutritional needs. Most horses need some level of supplementation. There are ways to estimate the nutrients in the different grass types. I use a program to calculate their intake from these different grasses and fill the gaps where needed. For the best results, I do recommend a pasture analysis to see exactly what they are getting from the grass. I can also enter this data to calculate what they need.
How can I tell if my horse is not getting what they need from their current diet?
Many nutritional deficiencies show up in subtle and diverse ways. There can be a general level of poor performance, susceptibility to different infections, poor wound healing, poor coat quality, hoof infections and poor quality hoof growth. Mature, non breeding horses can have a great tolerance for nutritional deficiencies in the diet. This may mean they will not be performing to the best of their ability or be in optimal health. They can just show up with subtle symptoms which may be hard to identify.
