Natural Nutrition

Natural health for horses

Herbal Medicine

Optimal nutrition is essential for supporting prime health in your horse. Part of my consultation process is to work through the diet they are currently on, and seeing what adjustments can be made to improve the diet. These adjustments could look like addition of a supplement, taking out a supplement that is unnecessary, or any that are doubling up.

My diet plans are roughly based on NRC requirements of horses, with some modifications that have been found to be optimal nutrition for the horse.

Herbal Medicine

Horses respond beautifully to herbal medicine.

Herbs can be used restore health and balance in the system. They can be used in a proactive way such as supporting the nervous or anxious horse to better cope with stress. Or we can use them in a health supportive way, addressing specific health conditions that are occurring.

My preferred option for herbal therapies for horses is the use of dried herbs, or extracts for more serious health complaints.
